What began as a small group of adolescents has grown — under her leadership — into an internationally recognised movement of 35+ youth members, 1,500+ volunteers, and over 100,000 beneficiaries.
Building a fairer Bangladesh, one chapter at a time.
In 2019, Nafira gathered a group of adolescents around a single conviction: that the next generation didn't have to inherit the same silences. She founded Amplitude to challenge the social taboos and structural discrimination that constrict ordinary lives in Bangladesh — and to build sustainable, community-led alternatives.
Under her leadership, Amplitude has grown from a single art exhibition into a multi-program organization tackling menstrual hygiene stigma (Paint It Red), winter relief (Benevolence), educational equity (Booksgiving), Ramadan food security (Khair), and emergency disaster response — including the 2024 Feni and Khagrachari floods and the 2026 Korail slum fire rehabilitation.
Her work places equity, anti-discrimination, breaking taboos, and sharing privilege at the centre of every initiative. Today, Amplitude operates across Bangladesh with international partners including the Open Society University Network, GHEA21, BracU's Social Impact Lab, and the United Nations Millennium Fellowship.
